1. Prevention and treatment of vitamin D deficiency in elderly individuals and adolescents with vitamin D deficiency.
2. Treatment of vitamin D deficiency in adults with confirmed vitamin D deficiency.
Dosage and Administration
This medicine should be used according to a physician’s prescription. The dosage should be adjusted based on serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D levels.
After administration, treatment efficacy and tolerability should be evaluated within 3 months for adults and 6 months for adolescents to determine the need for re-administration.
Excessive dosing may increase the risk of adverse reactions; therefore, the dose should not exceed the required amount
- Adults: Administer 200,000 IU of cholecalciferol via intramuscular injection.
- Adolescents: Administer 200,000 IU of cholecalciferol via intramuscular injection.
- Elderly individuals: Administer 100,000 IU of cholecalciferol via intramuscular injection.
The total annual dose should not exceed 600,000 IU of cholecalciferol.
