- Indications and Usage
- 1. Topical anesthesia of the skin for needle insertion or superficial surgical procedures. 2. Topical anesthesia for the genital mucosa(e.g., before removing condyloma). 3. Topical anesthesia for leg ulcer prior to cleansing or superficial surgery(e,g,.removal of fibrin, pus and necrotic tissue).
- Dosage and Administration
- ○ Adults 1. Skin After applying this medicine, cover the application site with an occlusive dressing. The occlusive dressing should normally remain in place for 1 to 3 hours, and the anesthetic effect persists for at least 1 hour after removal. 1) For needle insertions (e.g., intravenous catheter placement, blood sampling): Apply approximately 2 g of this medicine for a minimum of 1 hour and up to a maximum of 5 hours. 2) For minor superficial surgical procedures (e.g., treatment of molluscum contagiosum): Apply 1.5 to 2 g per 10 cm² of skin for at least 1 hour. 3) For major superficial surgical procedures (e.g., split-thickness skin grafting): Apply 1.5 to 2 g per 10 cm² of skin for a minimum of 2 hours and up to a maximum of 5 hours. 2. Genital Mucosa As pretreatment for condyloma removal, apply approximately 5 to 10 g of this medicine for 5 to 10 minutes. After removing the medicine, proceed with the procedure immediately. 3. Leg Ulcers After applying this medicine, cover the ulcer with an occlusive dressing. Single-use only: Once the tube is opened, discard any remaining cream after use. Apply 1 to 2 g per 10 cm² of skin, with a maximum total dose of 10 g per treatment session. The application time should be at least 30 minutes and may be extended to 60 minutes for necrotic tissue with a thicker penetration barrier. Cleansing should begin within 10 minutes after removing the cream. The medicine can be applied up to 15 times over 1 to 2 months if no loss of effect or increased local reaction is observed. ○ Infants (3 to 12 months of age) Apply up to 2 g of cream over a total skin area not exceeding 16 cm².
