- Indications and Usage
- 1. Topical anesthesia of the skin for needle insertion or superficial surgical procedures. 2. Topical anesthesia for the genital mucosa(e.g., before removing condyloma). 3. Topical anesthesia for leg ulcer prior to cleansing or superficial surgery(e,g,.removal of fibrin, pus and necrotic tissue).
- Dosage and Administration
- ○ Adult 1. Skin Cover with an air-tight dressing after applying this medicine. The occlusive dressing on the application site should normally be maintained for 1-3 hours, and the effect lasts at least 1 hour after the air-tight dressing is removed. 1) For needle insertions (e.g., intravenous catheters, blood sampling): Apply approximately 2g of this medicine for a minimum of 1 hour, maximum 5 hours. 2) For minor superficial surgical procedures(e.g., treatment of molluscum contagiosum): Apply 1.5∼2g of this medicine per 10㎠ of skin for at least 1 hour. 3) For major superficial surgical procedures(e.g., split-skin grafting): Apply 1.5 to 2g of this medicine per 10㎠ of skin for a minimum of 2 hours, maximum 5 hours. 2. Genital mucosa As pretreatment for removal of condyloma, apply approximately 10g of this medicine for 5 to 15 minutes. After removal of this medicine, the procedure should be performed immediately. 3. Leg ulcers Cover with an air-tight dressing after applying this medicine. This medicine tube is intended for single use when used for leg ulcers. Throw out any cream left in the tube after use. Apply 1 to 2g of this medicine per 10㎠ of skin up to a total of 10g on the leg ulcer. The application time should be at least 30 minutes, with up to 60 minutes for necrotic tissue with a thicker penetration barrier. Cleansing should start within 10 minutes after removal of the medicine. In the treatment of leg ulcers, the medicine can be applied for a maximum of 15 times in 1-2 months if no loss of effect or increase in local reaction is observed. ○ Infants aged 3-12 months: Up to 2g of cream on a total skin area not larger than 16㎠ in size.
